Above in the sky there is a visible of mass of condensed droplets floating through the atmosphere, while online digital data is stored within a logical pool – Cloud; that is also a character from the Final Fantasy 7 franchise. Born as a sprite processed by the Playstation since 1997, Cloud is iconically identified by his spiky blond hair or the giant broadsword which he carries as his weapon of choice. Presenting himself as a hardened warrior on the surface at the beginning of the game, it later becomes revealed that he is much softer deep down, struggling with identity as a result of his techno-constructivist origins. Alongside his friends he fights against the destruction of the planet, while being drawn into a narrative that touches terrorism, class exploitation, life and death, oppression, mental illness and friendship. The pieces take audio-visual field recordings from Final Fantasy 7 to disintegrate them, while intertwining the particles together again.
